McCain’s camp had all the pundits (and me) biting on the rumors. Up until this ayem, everyone seemed positive it was going to be Tim Pawlenty. Then somebody noted that he was still scheduled to have his regular morning radio broadcast, and if he did so it would be physically impossible for him to join McCain in Dayton Ohio for McCain’s scheduled veep rollout.
Not to mention the fact that, she’s a gorgeous woman who exudes mass quantities of charisma…
I too think Sarah Palin is a fantastic choice. Last night McCain’s agents were even telling folks the pick would be “conventional.” Meaning not merely pro-life, but booooring. Palin is everything but.
And NRA-approved, too!
WOOOT!
nuff said.
Now, I can vote fro this ticket.
The Armstrong & Getty radio program down here just called the Palin pick a “devastating kick to the crotch counterblow.” Yup.
Brilliant choice! She’s a rock-ribbed conservative, thus solidifying the base. She’s got an anti-corruption, anti-establishment record, a big plus in a campaign against 2 DC insiders. She used to belong to a union, and her hubby does, so that at least cancels out the Dems lock on unions. Of course, she’s a woman and that’ll at least keep some of the Hillary supporters that Obama hoped to get at home, if not garner their actual support. She’s young and dynamic, and will chew Biden up and spit him out.
This will be looked upon as a clear breakpoint in the campaign. Obambi peaked last night, as all of the Dems in the media creamed in their pants after the Annointed Ones’s speech.
Superb! Fantastic! Life Member!! Biden is a vain turd with hairplugs, a half-man.
Today, McCain not only got my vote, I even sent him a hundred dollars. The Libs and the gun grabbers are going to have a stroke!
I read in comments on another blog that her nickname is “Barracuda!” Yow! There’s already a song for that.
Didja see the song they played after her intro speech? If Van Halen’s “Right Now” is gonna be the McCain-Palin campaign theme song, well, I’ve been waiting for someone to use that one for a long time now. It’s perfect.
David,
The song “Right Now” is doubly perfect*. It was used in independent web videos for Dubya in ’04 and Sammy Hagar was a republican donor. (or so the web ad claimed).
*or perhaps senility is setting in early for me, but I’m sure I remember this.
