In connection to David’s Sunday post on the plaintiff in the new pro-civil rights case filed in San Francisco, John Aravosis, Asshat in Charge at the ill-named hyper-leftwing AmericaBlog, read a pro-Heller news release from the Log Cabin Republicans and then spent Thursday night and probably most of Friday trying to figure why gays would have a need to carry firearms.
I found it odd that any gay group would take a position in gun control, let alone issue a press release about it. But suggesting that gays need guns to protect themselves from anti-gay viloence? Uh, okay.

After he finishes quoting the release he does the typical “I’ve been mugged and I know a gun wouldn’t ever help anyone stop a mugger” anecdote.
Luckily for John, it was just “kids” and not three to five testosterone charged adults who wanted to impress each other by seeing which one of them could actually “kill the fuckin’ faggot”.
