Leftist hate-monger, Dave Neiwert, over at the leftist hate-mongering FireDogLake blog, writes that anyone who wishes for an Obama presidency to be a failure is simply racist. We’re either with Obama, or we’re against him.
Of course, it’s easy to dismiss such “analysis” as mere racist ranting, but there’s also a significant element of self-fulfilling prophecy to the vitriol. That is, these folks have every intent of doing their damnedest to see find a way to make Obama’s presidency fail.
If you thought the far right went nuts in the 1990s — when the Democratic president was a white Southern male — just wait till there’s a President Obama. Progressives should be bracing for it.
He has declared that anyone who doesn’t wish for Obama to bring America into HappyHopeyChangeyHarmony is equal to the actual white supremacists who recently said that they want an Obama presidency because such a thing would lead to race riots, which the whites would surely win.
First of all, I’m not so sure that whites would win any race riot that may happen. Most white folks are just too damn lazy to fight in a riot, any kind of riot, in the first place.
Secondly, just because I don’t want the folks with whom I share my country of residence inflicted with forced healthcare, forced personal disarmament, and forced onto public transportation, just to name a few, does not make me or anyone else a racist.
I want an Obama presidency to fail so that there is still country to live in in 2012. If he is successful in enacting any of his policies, it will be the ruin of us all.
