Not according to Adrian Fenty. No semi-automatic weapons in D.C. Anything that CAN hold more than 12 rounds is considered a machine gun in D.C. and is thus prohibited (unless you draw a .gov paycheck.)
So it looks like S&W and Taurus are going to be seeing a lot of revolver sales shortly.
I did not know that. I do think that Smith & Wesson need to come up with a model 626 — revolver, of course — to commemorate the 6/26 decision in Heller.
An eight or nine-shot 38/357, a six-shot 45 ACP with full-moon clips similar to the Miculek, and a nine-shot .22 LR for practice, named the “DC series” or the “Heller Commemorative Series” revolvers. They’re not carry guns– they’re for home and range. If they’re smart, they’ll have already had them in the works. Then there are the shotguns…
I do like how their latest “tactical” revolver (I still can’t say that with a straight face) — the one with the light rail — is a 7- or 8-shot (can’t remember) .38/.357 that uses moon clips. I LIKE moon clips; gonna convert all my revolvers to ’em this year or next.
