Israel is ready and willing to wash their hands of the palestinians
Washington, Cairo, and Jerusalem are expressing “concern” regarding the flow of hundreds of thousands of Gazans into Egypt, testing border agreements that have existed since Israel completely withdrew from the heavily populated strip in 2005. Some Israeli officials, nevertheless, saw an “opportunity” in yesterday’s event, suggesting that responsibility for Gaza’s humanitarian situation should be shifted to Egypt.
While the anti-Israel left will try and play this off either as “If you love them so much, why don’t you marry them?” childishness or a dropped “responsibility”, I believe that this is the best thing they could have said about it.
If the Egyptians think Israel treats the palis so bad, make their Muslim brothers take better care of them.
Of course, history shows us how the palis Muslim brothers treat them, which is why the UN will condemn Israel for “letting” the palis stream across the border instead of the palis for blowing up the barrier.
