Ignoring the populace

With a case before the courts in King County in which a woman registered her dog to vote to show how easy it is for non-citizens to partake in what only citizens are allowed to do, (Barely) Governor Christine Gregoire has decided to create more opportunities for non-citizens to register to vote.

Governor Chris Gregoire today designated the Washington Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) as a voter registration assistance agency and directed the agency to appoint a voter registration assistance officer, efficiently help citizens register to vote and work with the Secretary of State’s office to ensure compliance with established voter registration procedures.

Seeing as how the Washington State DSHS has one of the most miserable reputations for being able to keep taxpayer money out of the hands of illegal immigrants, I do not think it wise for them to be a centerpiece on the Gregoire Plan to register voters.

Which is probably why she thinks it is.

One Response to Ignoring the populace

  1. Queen Christine the Lesser is already looking over her shoulder at Dino Rossi, and she’s trolling for every vote she can dig up.

And you know folks registering at DSHS are all going to be the types who depend on government largesse for, well, almost everything, not useful, productive citizens with actual jobs who pay the taxes. And who do you think they’re going to vote for?
