Corrie Lawyer Compares Israelis to Nazis

In their ongoing attempt to justify their daughter’s Jew-hating efforts to help palestinians kill Israeli citizens, Rachel Corrie’s parents had their case against Caterpillar heard on appeal by a three-judge panel of the 9th Circuit federal appeals court.

Two years after an Israeli-operated bulldozer crushed their daughter in the Gaza Strip, Cindy and Craig Corrie were frustrated by the lack of answers in their daughter’s death. They felt that they had exhausted all other avenues and that their only choice was to file a lawsuit.

On Monday, their case, filed in 2005 against Caterpillar Inc., which made the bulldozer, will be heard in Seattle by a three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

“It was only because of our frustrations to get some kind of accountability and find out what happened,” Cindy Corrie said.

And in the ongoing example of the PI’s ignorance of facts, or their unwillingness to print the facts, the Seattle PI prints the fantasy version of Corrie’s getting squished

In March 2003, Rachel Corrie, 23, spent part of the winter quarter of her senior year at The Evergreen State College serving with the International Solidarity Movement, members of which were acting as human shields in Rafah, Gaza, between Israeli bulldozers and Palestinian homes. On March 16, one of the muted-green machines approached the home where Corrie was living. She stood between the bulldozer and the home, armed with a bullhorn and wearing a bright orange jacket, which were not enough to stop the 50 tons of steel.

I’ve never heard the version of where she was actually staying in the house they contend was going to be demolished. I’ve always heard that it was a “Palestinian doctor” who lived in the house.

The house that was inside a fenced neighborhood. The house that was 100 feet from where the D-9 was working, excavating tunnels. Tunnels that were used to smuggle guns and explosives into Palestinian terrorist hands.

But hey, why stick to facts when you quote assholes like this

Like those who supplied poisonous gas for the Nazis’ gas chambers, Caterpillar should be held accountable, attorney Maria LaHood said Friday. She is part of the team of lawyers from the Center for Constitutional Rights in New York and Seattle University who are handling the case.

For those who though that the name “Center for Constitutional Rights” (aka: The CCR) rang a bell, here are a few factoids:

One of the top lawyers at CCR is Rachel Meeropol, granddaughter of Julius and Ethel Rosenberg.

The CCR has coordinated the legal challenges on behalf of inmates at Gitmo, contending that they should be treated as US Citizens and tried in US civilian courts.

Last year, the CCR published a book titled “Articles of Impeachment against George W Bush”

The CCR is also the group who filed briefs in Germany in an attempt to try former Sec. of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld, for “war crimes”.

It would take a group that disgusting to represent the Corrie’s case.

And it doesn’t surprise me that their representative believes the Israelis are equal to Nazis.

Doesn’t it seem absurd that the court is even hearing it? CAT should be awarded legal fees in-full and the plaintiffs should be lobotomized by bobcats with post-hole digger attachments.
