The Booty Eulogies: In Remembrance

I first met John Thomas after I was assigned to interview him for a paper I was working for at the time in Malmo. He had come to Sweden to attend the Stockholm Jazz Festival and I had heard a rumor that he was biding his time in my home city. After a heated discussion with my editor, one where she insisted that she would interview him herself, my insistence that her husband would not approve of finding out about what her and the new copyboy were doing, I made a call to John’s hotel and arranged the time.

During our meeting I gave him a tour of the city. He had many questions, as did I. My questions were of the personal type, so his also became. He answered all of mine, and I answered all of his.

I never did get around to turning in the notes from that interview. I will now keep those notes forever to myself.
