Great news for those of you who, like me, really liked the DigiLight products. The fellow who purchased the remaining DigiLight assets saw fit to comment on my earlier post. In short, they’re coming back under the DigiCell name. Click here and scroll to the end of the comments to see.

Xenon bulbs have been surpassed in output now by the 3-watt and 5-watt Luxeon Star LEDs. Since, lumen for lumen, an LED will ALWAYS use less current, and will NEVER make any heat as a wasted by-product of creating light, LEDs are so far and a way superior as to make the purchase of ANY Xenon-bulb equipment a waste of money.
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the superior ruggedness and hugely favorable lifespan of the LED compared to the Xenon.
I have a variety of Mini-Maglites among our preparedness supplies, in the car gloveboxes, toolkits, etc.
I’m slowly in the process of replacing them all with the TerraLux LED kit, which apparently can produce up to the 50-lumen mark of the Xenons.

Hopefully DigiCell will also be jumping on this bandwagon soon enough.
