Denial isn’t a river in Egypt

Which is a bad thing, because leftoid university administrators are still living in it.

American University held a drill Thursday to prepare in the event that a gunman opened fire at the campus.

School officials and security officers said the scenario is one that they hope they would never have to actually face.

The simulation was modeled in part, officials said, because of the massacre at Virginia Tech University where a gunman opened fire on the campus, killing 32 people before killing himself in April.

Unlike many campuses in our area, police at American University are not armed, officials said, so any incident involving a weapon means that officers from the Second District Metropolitan Police Department are automatically called in.

As those officers arrive to the scene, AU officers manage the perimeter, officials said.

During the drill, officers entered McDowell Hall on the campus and find two students dead. Other fake students participating in the drill who were wounded were questioned and carried to safety.

Less than 20 minutes after officers arrived, the drill was over.

The suspect in the drill was captured and killed.

Great, they leave a mass murdering lunatic with weapons alone for 20 minutes in a building full of students forcibly disarmed by the university administration. Can you guess a body count?

We know 32 dead and 25 wounded from VTech. We also know that drills are exactly that. Add another 20 minutes to their time.

So let’s see I think the number would end up being: Anyone in the building the murderer wanted dead.

What a waste of time and money.

“Less than 20 minutes after officers arrived…”

How long did it take them to arrive?

I remember reading somewhere that the VT main killing spree happened 2 HOURS after police arrived.
