To the bone

As was mentioned briefly last week, I’m somewhat short of time as of late.

Friday was the last day of employ for my co-worker, known at RNS as “Tits McGhee”. “Tits” finally got the Active Guard Reserve spot she wanted and vamoosed. I applied for and received her job position and title, which basically means I am no longer an official Map Geek (just an unofficial one). I am now the “Data Entry and Billing” geek. ZThis was brought on by an overwhelming sense of stagnation. I’ve watched folks in the company office moving around while have been in the same position for seven years.

It was time for a change. It was time for a challenge.

And great googly-moogly did I get a challenge.

Unfortunately for me (and my boss), “Tits” really did vamoose. I recieved approximately 5 hours of training over three days on a system I had never seen before last Wednesday and I am struggling a bit with it. I went to work last night to catch up on the end-of-the-week stuff and I’m sure that I’ll be working plenty of OT this week getting adjusted.

This may mean a slow down of blogging for the aforementioned period of time. It shouldn’t mean a stoppage, but it may cut my amount of blogging time in half and the number of posts will be reflective of that.

Just wanted to give y’all an FYI.

Good Luck in the new job. Does your employer appreciate how much effort you put into doing your job well?

Now that “Tits” is gone, can you bring us up to date on her illustrious nickname & past?

An AGR spot? Cool beans. That’s how I got sent to Puerto Rico. Any clue where she was sent?

Heya Dave! I figured you’d perk up over those initials.

Tits got a spot at Madigan. Kinda lucky she hasn’t gotten her orders yet, what with all the focus on mil/VA hospitals right now.

Yeah, the Madigan isn’t too bad. My uncle was chief of OB-GYN there for three years when I lived in Seattle. There are much worse Army hospitals in the system.
