The Soundboard: The Sounds of Silence

Der Soundboarden ist kaput for the time being. With the RNS Blogstation Meltdown of 07, I have lost the address, login and password for the FTP server used to run the posts for the time being (I’ll be fiddling with it some more this weekend).

So today we’re going to do something a bit different.

I’ve spoken in the past about the local radio station, based out of Seattle’s Nathan Hale High School, KNHC – 89.5 on your Seattle are FM dial. If you are not in the Seattle area, you can listen to them 24-7-365 via this here internet thingy by going to their website and clicking on your appropriate music format.

As you can see on their website, they have a number of different specialty electronica music shows in their programming. Today, since I can’t do straight audio, I will be doing video.

I heard this particular program live while I was doing some home computerin’. KNHC’s “The Vortex” is one of my favorite shows to listen to.

The guys name is KJ Sawka. He’s got a drum kit and a sampler and he goes to town live in this vid.

Ignore the guy’s shirt. You can’t get away from crap like that in Seattle. The music is the focus here today.
