Maybe after today

The left will stop kissing the ass of the Chicago Bears.

After spending the week calling Indianapolis Coach Tony Dungy a homophobe, The Huff-a-ton Post let Bears Linebacker, Brendan Ayanbadejo, onboard to whine about the lack off affirmative action at his alma mater, UCLA.

It has been almost ten years since I was here in Miami, playing for the UCLA Bruins, as we were trying to remain undefeated and #1 in the country. In two days, I will be playing in my first Super Bowl for the Chicago Bears, in a history-making game with two African-American head coaches.

Back in 1998, while preparing for the game against the University of Miami, I was thinking a lot about what was happening on my Westwood campus with the passing of Proposition 209, which ended affirmative action in the state of California. Now as a Chicago Bear, heading into the biggest game of my life, I am still concerned about what is happening on my Westwood campus, because this year there were only 96 African-American students enrolled in the Freshman class of 5000 — 2%. Now, don’t get me wrong, I am completely focused on this game and plan on bringing the Lombardi trophy back to the city of Chicago, but when the game is over, this issue is not going to go away.

Great Googlie-Mooglie, somebody call the Whaaambulance!

  1. What he willfully ignores is that overall minority enrollment at UCLA (and Berkeley as well) has increased since Prop 209 (which I voted for) passed.

It’s just that it hasn’t been the *right* minorities-blacks, hispanics, and natives have gone down (whites too), while Asians have gone way up.

Liberals hate it when you mention Asians, because they refuse to behave like good little oppressed minorities and get on board the victimhood train.

  2. Grumpy Old Ham says:

Perhaps the young man should be asked how much of his fame, fortune, and time is invested in helping minorities become ACADEMICALLY QUALIFIED for entrance to the UC system.

    I thought not.

And UCLA wonders why they receive no donations from this particular alumnus. I swear the place is as bad as Berzerkley now.

  3. Rivrdog says:

Has anyone ever asked Mr. Ayanbadejo whether he actually graduated from UCLA? Many, many of these professional sportz types didn’t think that was as important as getting into the NFL, NBA or wherever they went afterwards.
