Voters said that they wanted change

And boy will they get it.

Here, Captain Ed reminisces about the high gas prices of last summer, and then segues into how his local price at the pump was well below $2 per gallon.

Gas prices were going down for weeks before the election due to a glut in the market, and they are continuing to do so. But not for long.

You see, the House Democrats just voted to raise gas prices for you, because they know you like that kind of thing.

The House bill, approved 264-123, sets a conservation fee on oil and gas from the Gulf of Mexico, attempts to recoup royalties lost because of a government error in drilling leases in the late 1990s, and rolls back several oil industry tax breaks.

“In the November election, the American people signaled their wish for change — a wish for our country to go in a new direction,” said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.

Remind all of your Democrat voting friends and neighbors that they are the ones who voted for change, and that change will leave them with little to spare.

BTW, I had to go to Captain Ed’s place to find someone talking about lower gas prices because, here in Washington, we haven’t seen any drop in price due to the Democrat’s donkey pulling the eco-socialist cart for “specialty gasolines” which cost much, much more to manufacture.

…and don’t forget to remind your Democratic friends that it was the CLINTON administration that screwed up in the first place.
