Maybe I missed it

But I have absolutely no recollection of Seattle Mayor Nickles calling a press conference to denounce knife violence after this attack on multiple citizens the way he glommed the mic after the murder in Tacoma.

Eugene man sentenced to 15 years in prison for slashing 3 people

A homeless man who retaliated with a knife after someone dumped water on him was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Tony K. French, 42, was standing below a parking garage last March when someone from above tossed water that fell on him. French mistakenly concluded that a man standing nearby had done it and attacked him with a box knife, putting two long cuts on the man’s back, said Erik Hasselman, the deputy district attorney for Lane County.

Two people came to the victim’s aid and French slashed them, inflicting minor cuts, Hasselman said. All three recovered from the late-night attack.

Three wounded, one very seriously, yet no outrage, or even a single word, from Nickles or his fellow gun-bigot confederates.

If you think I’m joking about their lack of wisdom on the threat of knives, then you need an education. This video should work nicely. And you might also want to read this report from Front Sight Press and the anecdotes from Jerry the Geek)

Back on the subject of the murder at the Tacoma school, it turns out that the gun was…abra-cadabra…stolen during a home robbery in 1999. The murderer will not reveal where he got the gun, but the address isn’t far from his parents home, so I am of the suspicion that he was involved or knew someone involved (yes, I realize that the murderer would have only been 11 years old at the time, but you should see how young some of the car thieves are around here).

And on the point that Rivrdog brought up: Within the first hour of the murder, Tacoma Police were very sure to remind the media that they “didn’t suspect it was gang related”.

But that little lie didn’t last very long; the very next day the TPD put officers at each of the secondary schools in the Tacoma School District and over half a dozen at Foss High School. The reason they gave for this was “in case of retaliatory attacks”.

Why would there be a worry of retaliatory attacks if the murder wasn’t gang related?

So now, with that snippet of information, we have proof that NONE of the measures requested by Seattle Mayor Nickles and his fellow Fuckstickateers would have stopped this crime and would only have put unreasonable rquirements on law-abiding firearms owners.
