Sunday saw the death of Augusto Pinochet.
Every single story I’ve read, whether they were AP, APF, Reuters, etc, all had the same running theme
Gen. Augusto Pinochet ,who terrorized his opponents for 17 years after taking power in a bloody coup, died Sunday, putting an end to a decade of intensifying efforts to bring him to trial for human rights abuses blamed on his regime.
What I found strange was that in none of the articles I have read about the declining health of castro, are the supporters of trying him for human rights violations and mass-murder ever mentioned.
I feel like I’ve been stabbed in the heart; not once in the months since fidel went into the hospital have I read one word from the MSM about justice for castro’s victims. Not once….
Val also noticed a story about Gore Vidal taking a visit to Cuba with castro’s propagandist
Celebrated American writer Gore Vidal slammed the four-decade-long U.S. trade embargo against Cuba on Sunday, saying during a visit to the island that he hopes recent changes in U.S. politics will help end the sanctions.
I’m not going to quote anymore of AP writer Anna Snow’s tongue-slathering of Vidal’s bung. If you want to read it yourself, feel free.
But I am of the belief that Val correctly interpretted it in this post.
