The Soundboard: The Wife Chimes In

Seeing as how this is the day of our wedding anniversary, I decided (possibly poorly) to give the reigns of The Soundboard over to the wife for the day.

She wanted to select tunage that 1. Would never be posted here otherwise, and 2. Would break down the overt masculinity of RNS for the day.

Personally, I think our reputation may be ruined for longer than just the next 24 hours.

Have fun with it:

Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves – Cher

I post an anniversary appropriate song on Monday, and she basically hangs muave curtains around the blogstation in repayment.

Take off your rose-colored glasses, those aren’t MAUVE cdrapes, they are BLACK!

But your frau has good taste. After 35 years or so, that son still stirs MY blood.

IIRC, the 1890s were referred to as the “mauve decade,” because of the widespread use of that color in draperies and other fabrics. But when Heinlein mentioned the “mauve decade,” he was slyly referring to the widespread amorous activities that took place behind those discreetly-drawn shades.

    Enjoy your anniversary!

Sorry RD, but appears that the time I saw this tune performed in ‘Priscilla, Queen of the Desert’ fashion has wounded me permenantly.
