Mine was building a set of horseshoe pits in a Corvallis city park. I like this guy’s project better:

Of course, at that age I’d never fired a gun, didn’t know much about them, and would have been astonished to learn that there was a fairly active firearms community in Corvallis and Albany. Heck, they even have a machine-gun shoot!
