A Change of Ways

But a minor one at best.

Now that I’m back to full-time blogging, I’ll be coming back with the posts that come with dates, such as the Quotes of the Day and the “Dumbest Thing I’ve Read All Day” category, which is now be it’s own category, but with a name change. Which is the reason for this post.

But first, a short story:

RNS EtherDeity, Craig at MT Politics, posted this a couple weeks back. For those not wanting to click on a blind link, it is a two-fer of Weird Al Yankovic music videos from You Tube. I, of course, had to watch them, ad nauseum, to the wife’s dismay (she has no sense of the absurd being hilarious)

This led to the reaccounting of my Weird Al collection of music, which I found lacking, and what followed was me downloading what I could and buying what I couldn’t over this last week I had off, again, to the wife’s dismay.

Now that I have listened to the catalog through at least twice, I have decided that not only do I find Al’s earlier stuff even more funny than I did in junior high and high school, because age has let me gather the knowledge to get more of the references, but also to change the title of the “Dumbest Thing I’ve Read All Day” posts. Said posts will now be known as the “Dare to Be Stupid” posts and will be awarded every day that I find someone who has so dared.

For those schooled in Weird Al tunage, you will get the reference. For those not as fortunate, here is the reference

Dare To Be Stupid – Weird Al Yankovic

You have been warned.

Awesome! Weird Al tuneage. Thank you!

“Christmas at Ground Zero” is a personal favorite of mine, and actually helped me meet one of my best friends.

  2. Craig says:

Thanks for the link. Weird Al Rules!

  3. David says:

I’m ashamed to say I only got around to watching “White & Nerdy” just now (via Comcast’s On Demand). Of course I came back to this post to click the link. Absolutely hilarious, especially for, well, nerds like me.
