Nuremberg-style trials proposed for global warming skeptics
A U.S. based environmental magazine that both former Vice President Al Gore and PBS newsman Bill Moyers have deemed respectable enough to grant one-on-one interviews to promote their projects, is now advocating Nuremberg-style war crimes trials for skeptics of human caused catastrophic global warming. Grist Magazine’s staff writer David Roberts called for the Nuremberg-style trials for the “bastards†who were members of what he termed the global warming “denial industry.â€
Roberts wrote in the online publication on September 19, 2006, “When we’ve finally gotten serious about global warming, when the impacts are really hitting us and we’re in a full worldwide scramble to minimize the damage, we should have war crimes trials for these bastards — some sort of climate Nuremberg.â€
I think a title such as “The Climate Inquisition” would be a much better name for the eco-socialist’s plans.
The effects aren’t supposed to “hitting us” for another 100 years or more, so I’m not too worried. Maybe they should be though, because if any of us are all still alive then, it’ll just mean we’ve had that much more time to buy ammo and go to the range for when they come to our front doors with their pitchforks and torches to take us to court for driving our “Earth Murdering Trucks”.
One outrageous suggestion deserves another.
When the Marshals of that Court of Enviromental Inquisition show up at MY doorstep to serve ME a summons, I will meet their absurd abuse of process with MY abuse of THEIR process. My abusive instrument handles 7.62X51 NATO caliber and can dump a clip of 20 into their zealot bodies in less than 6 seconds, with a 3-second reload for another clip.
I’m environmentally responsible, but you can’t tell me 2 + 2 = 5 and expect me to bow down to your “science”.
