Kos inmate “Maccabee” writes about a supposed conversation he had with a former prisoner of the communist Romainian state, Florin, who is now a cab driver in the US.
Maccabee talks to Florin about his time after getting released from prison and they begin to form parallels between Romania then and America today. Florin says that he sees the signs and this is their immediate conversation after making the parallels
“Do you have kids?” he asked me.
“No, I don’t”
“Are you married?”
“Yes.”
“Leave. That’s my advice to you. Leave and don’t look back.”
