The Soundboard: Bandwidth Blowout!

It is the end of the month and I’ve got an album I really like, so here we go with more tunage from The Moving Sidewalks. I’ve still got yesterday’s track loaded in the system for those silly enough to not stop by at the proper time, plus I’ve got two more for today.

The last five tracks on the “Flash” CD are listed as “Bonus” tracks but they are actually the singles released by the band in 1968. This track is the last of those singles. While it has somewhat of a poppy feel it is one heck of a track, in this fellows opinion.

Every Night A New Surprise – The Moving Sidewalks

And just to show that an 18 year old Gibbons wasn’t just about Hendrix and “Chart Pop”, here is a taste of his skills playing the blues accompanied by some truly gorgeous Hammond B-12 organ work.

Ain’t No Good To Cry – The Moving Sidewalks

FYI: This tune wails and it isn’t even the best of the blues tracks on the album, but I’m not going to give you all the goodies here. I want you to buy this album.
