But they finally found it. Or part of it, at least.
Sockpuppteer extraordinaire, Glenn Greenwald finally remembers the reaction to CBS’s “The Reagans”. Though, while the can pull quotes from folks on the right out of thin air, he seems to have forgotten to look for the ones where leftists were crying “CENSORSHIP!”.
Not that I expected anyone on the left to remember, or especially to admit to, their episode of gross hyperbole. But a guy has to be able to hope for something from them.
Unfortunately for Greenwald and his fellow travellers, two things happened yesterday:
1. The nation’s top Democrat threatened to take away ABC’s broadcast license if they air the movie without the cuts they are demanding. If ever there was a cause to scream “CENSORSHIP!”, I think that qualifies.
2. Evidence in coming to light that ABC’s “dramatization” isn’t too far off. The Texas Rainmaker uses the 9/11 Commission Report, among other things, to blow the Dems complaints out of the water, and NewsBusters talks to Michael Scheuer, who was the “Mike” in the 9/11 Commission Report and is no fan of the President to clarify that which the Rainmaker posts.
