McGavick is running closely in the polls with Cantwell, who has had to buy out the person who posed the biggest Democrat threat to her winning the primary just to look good.
The Democrat Machine is feeling a bit edgy about this race. As I’ve mentioned before, the hard-core Bush Derangement Syndrome people are refusing to vote for Cantwell because of her votes on Iraq, first to go and then funding. She has gotten her greatest Primary challenger to drop out (for $8k a month to ‘work’ on her campaign) so she’ll most likely win that, but the general election is still a tossup, and if McGavick keeps up the pace or even goes into overdrive, Cantwell could very well be out of a job come 2007.
