Eco-saboteurs admit plot in firebombings

EUGENE — Three members of a loosely knit underground movement of eco-saboteurs pleaded guilty Thursday in federal court for their roles in a conspiracy to set fire to U.S. Forest Service offices, lumber businesses, meat processing plants and a car dealership over six years.

Kevin Tubbs, Kendall Tankersley and Darren Todd Thurston appeared separately before U.S. District Judge Ann Aiken, admitting they participated in a variety of fires as members of the Earth Liberation Front and Animal Liberation Front.

The pleas signal a significant turning point in the government’s ongoing investigation into a long stretch of coordinated firebombings by the radical groups whose members operated in independent cells, targeting government and private enterprises that they would later accuse of harming the planet and its creatures for profit.

Significant turning point is one way of putting it.

The feds kicking ass and taking names to stop these overly enthusiatic Gaia worhippers is another.

Accused ELF arsonists Kendall Tankersley, Darren Thurston, Kevin Tubbs, Stanislas Meyerhoff, Chelsea Gerlach, and Suzanne Savoie, all entered guilty pleas on criminal conspiracy and related arson charges that occurred from 1996 through 2001 in Oregon and four other Western states. Each of the named defendants have agreed to cooperate and provide assistance to the government in the investigation and prosecution of other co-conspirators involved in arson, conspiracy and related crimes.

And as you can probably guess, the freaks and geeks at the IMC are not happy about their criminal mother earth mutual admiration society being torn asunder.

were these people plants to begin with?

or were they not strong enough to defend Mother Earth, cracking under “Justice”‘s torture and plea bargains?

we here in Proletarian-Land are doing the best we can to fight The Genocide Regime as it rages on…

If I went back in the threads far enough, I’m sure I could find out exactly what ‘torture’ these folks are claiming they went through. Though, if my memory serves me correctly, they were calling the jail’s not acquiescing to their demands for purely vegan meals ‘torture’.

“No compromise” is dead, or dying.

A critical mass of broken activists, idealists, and would-be revolutionaries have fallen into this terrible chasm of failed solidarity, panic, and isolation, and they may drag the remaining hold outs down with them. How could it have come to this?

To the remaining; Prove Your Innocence, or beg for leniency.

The row of dominoes have begun falling and we can blame the first one to fall, each one that has fallen, and/or the government that is pushing them down, but the question remains; what are we going to do about this? What can we do?
