Which Party is Actually Thinking?

The week before last was the Washington State Republican Party Convention. The most key thing to come out of the convention was the approval of adding a restriction to the 14th Amendment making it so that a person born on American soil must be born to citizen parents to themselves be a citizen.

I spent most of last week chuckling at the local leftist website who were going on their “That’s Racist!” tirade.

Well, over the weekend, the Washington State Democratic Party also had their convention. Would you like to hear what they’ve added to their platform?

Democrats voted to approve a resolution calling for creation of a U.S. Department of Peace. The resolution calls on the state’s Congressional delegation to “support and cosponsor a Cabinet level Department of Peace & Nonviolence to be established to study and advance peace and nonviolence as the organizing principles in all human relations from families and neighborhoods, to courts and congresses, both nationwide and internationally.”

There is a difference between a goal and a fantasy. The Washington R’s may be hopeless, but at least they have goals. All the Dems have is shit and one hand and hope in the other: Hope that the electorate won’t see them as idiots.
