The MilBloggers are coming to town.
Barb from Righty in a Lefty State is in contact with MilBlogger Francis Marion of the Where I Stand Blog. Francis is coming to Ft. Lewis this summer and they are looking for attendees and suggestions of locations for a meet-greet-and-shoot on Saturday July 15th.
Myself, I wouldn’t mind an outdoor meet at Renton Fish & Game with their 200yd rifle and 25yd pistol ranges. If they just want pistols, there is The Marksman in/near Puyallup or Champion Arms in Kent.
What say ye?
See, there’s two pistol ranges that I didn’t know anything about! Of course, I know about Renton, but it would be nice to go there to actually, ya know, shoot! *grin* Plus, they have a trap range … anybody up for a round or two of trap shooting??? I haven’t gone in over a year, and my shotgun is feeling ignored.
I’m in, and I have permission from Household 6 to go…but I have to be back home by 4 pm, because we’ve got a wedding to go to that day.
IIRC, there’s also a rifle/pistol range out in University Place, and another in Spanaway/Parkland. But then, I’m biased toward stuff in the South Sound.
While i will not be able to attend, because i now live in Kaiserslautern Germany, and nolonger live in Olympia. One of the best places to shoot i found was the Puget Sound rod and gun club just past Puyallup.
