Shanghai — Pudong Skyline

On the Heathrow Express train into London, the first-class cabin had free copies of the Financial Times. One article on Shanghai’s Pudong district had a stunning photo that simply will not scan in properly. So I went and found another pic of this Buck-Rogers-esque skyline, below.

This area was transformed from mud flats to what you see below in about a twenty-year period! Click the link to see a pic at night — it’s pretty.

    The area was forcibly cleared of people, no compensation, many lost everything they had spent a lifetime to earn.
