I’ve got questions too

A thoughtfull Assemblyman from New Jersey, John F. McKeon put forth a bill that would make it legal for pregnant women to park in handicap parking spaces. The only qualifier is that the women be obviously pregnant, as you cannot expect officers to keep EPT tests in their partol cars (they’re much messier than the breathalyzer tests, you see).

And everyone was happy.

Except for NOW of New Jersey, whose spokeswoman made the following ‘sensitive as always’ remarks”

Absolutely ridiculous. Since when is being pregnant a handicap?

The headhoncho over at the dailyKos, where I found this tale of woe, had this to say to to NJ NOW”

Have any of the women over at NJ NOW ever been pregnant?

Since everyone is asking questions here, I would like to put one forward to Kos:

Have you ever seen the modern-day members of now? I wouldn’t land one of those fish with your rod, Kos, and I think you’re a vile human being.

OK, now that I’ve sickened everyone with the though a not only a pregnant NOW member, but one from Jersey, here is a link to Professor Booty’s post from Saturday.

  2. You know, the entire second half of her pregnancy (actually, both of them) my wife commented that pregnant women should get handicap tags just about every time we went anywhere.

And besides, the only two places I’ve ever seen all the handicap spots being used are the Commissary and the PX. And those guys earned it, some of them the hard way.
