After the over the top anti-Bush political behavor by Democrats at the King funeral yesterday, Kos is only able to pull one headline out of his hat:

He then cuts and pastes the thoughts of a couple of leftist bloggers who also seem to trying for the job because they can’t seem to put their finger on the actual issue and make racist comments in the process of trying to deflect from the actual point.

The most ignorant of which was Digby at Hullabaloo:

That dessicated waste of space Kate O’Beirne is on Hardball right now screeching for the laudenenum because “liberals don’t know how to act at funerals!” Oh lawdy, lawdy, lawdy Miss Mellie, I do decleah these Democrats are so ungenteel! Why, they were talkin’ politics and singin’ and dancin’ and actin’ all Negro and everything!

I personally find it absolutely outrageous, OUTRAGEOUS! that Republicans are attacking Coretta Scott King and her family this way. Why, she is an American icon! How dare they! Do they really think that African Americans don’t know how to behave at a funeral for one of their own? How very white of them.

Kate O’Beirne isn’t fit to wipe Coretta Scott King’s shoes and criticizing her on the day of her memorial service is disgusting. What kind of unfeeling ghouls have Republicans become??

I could ask the very same of you and the Democrats, Digby. King never spoke about the intercepting of communications of mass-murdering religious zealots. Nor would he have continued to spread the lie that the majority of deaths from Hurricane Katrina were blacks.

Exactly where are Republicans criticizing Mrs. King or her family? Is Reverend Lowry a member of King’s brood? Did Carter or Clinton get honorarily adopted and nobody told me? Or are you just saying that any Democrat who criticizes the current administration is a King?

Not one single word was said about the celebration of the life of Mrs. King via song or dance. The complaint was about the use of political rhetoric at a memorial service.

BTW, it is more than a bit racist to say that blacks behave differently than whites do, but I’m sure that your bigotry of low expectaions makes you feel all the better for having said that.
