Have you ever gotten a static electric shock so strong that it lit up the immediate vicinity of a dark room and left a brownish-black scar on your hand?
No? Well then, here is a Sunday tip for you: Don’t do that, it hurts.
However, I did get to feel like Darth Sidious for second before the pain registered.
Well, didn’t get the scar, but I’ve sent off jolts recently that’ve lit up the room and hurt me. It’s been like that for a couple of months now. I’ve been getting small static shocks 2-3 times a day at work when I get up and open the file cabinet.
No scar, but I once “lit up the room” (so-to-speak) by grounding something other than a finger while engaged in non-verbal communications with a young lady. Winter time, low humidity (dorm room w/steam radiator heat), synthetic blanket…
The electric shock necessitated a reboot of the operating system.
Ahem.
Try polar fleece over a wool shirt.
