New Phones

A while back I received an email via my employer telling us all about Nextel getting eaten up by SprintPCS (or maybe it was the other way around) and that we are now authorized to switch from Nextel to Sprint and get new pones and new plans under a deal they have worked out with those guys.

I immediately hopped on that deal because, well frankly, Nextel sucks a Michael Moore sized ass. I do not have enough fingers and toes to count how many times I have wandered out of the miniscule Nextel service area. Anytime I wanted to go to Montana, I knew I would be out of service once I got east of Spokane, since they have no service along the I-90 corridor from there until you hit Bismark, ND.

Bastards.

Whereas Sprint only has a few blank areas, mostly National Parks, where the envirowhackos have blocked the installation of multiple cellular towers, so if your company wasn’t the first in, you’re screwed.

But that is OK, I figure that if I got myself into the park, I’ll drag myself out if I have to. Screw calling 911.

So anyway, what I’m basically getting at is that I have a new phone, but for the folks who already have my number, it stayed the same. I would just like to ask everyone to email me and give me their numbers again so that I can get them put into this new phone. My Palmpilot quit a while back and I forgot to grab all your numbers out of the old Nextel phone before the service switched.

The reason for all this is that I am working on an idea for a Blogger Blastorama for October and would like to get ahold of y’all within the next week. You should be getting an email from me in the next couple days as well.

Thanks.

BTW, I got the Analog Wife a phone too. She has never had a cell phone before and was quite enthralled once I made her ringer the Halloween/Michael Myers theme. I hear her playing with it as we speak (I got her one as I am trying to phase out the land line phone except for the $10 per month local call only plan for emergencies).

Professor Booty is emailing my phone with pics for the screen saver. I’d better keep prying eyes at work away from the thing. Oh, and switch the ringer. Right now it is Jay-Z’s “99 Problems. Not exactly professional material.
