You probably remember the story from last week’s ‘Big Stupid Friday Post’ about the Canadians complaining about guns from America being taken up to Canada for criminal use.
Well, now the Mexican government is making the same complaint.
Since January, more than 600 people have been killed in an ongoing war between rival drug cartels using high-powered handguns and assault rifles fighting for control of drug smuggling routes on the Texas-Mexico border.
Federal gun seizures show that a majority of weapons used in violent crimes in Mexico were smuggled into the country from the United States or bought through other sources in a lucrative black market.
And I have the same suggestion for the Mexican government that I had for the Canadian government; Maybe if you’d watch your own damn border and stop relying on the US to do it for you, you wouldn’t have a problem.
But, neither of them will. So, it must not be that big of a problem in their minds, they just like to complain.
