Getting Ready for a Busy Weekend

Howdy everyone. Not much from me today, I’ve got a weekend ahead that is so overloaded that I can’t believe I scheduled it myself.

I’ve got guns to ready for competition and stuff to do, but I do have a tip and a question……

First the tip:

If you’re a fan of John Wayne, you’ll want to make sure your cable/satellite bill is paid up as they’ll be playing two of the rarest of his movies this weekend on AMC.

Long requested by many fans of “The Duke,” the aerial dramas “The High and the Mighty” and “Island in the Sky” will make their DVD debuts Aug. 2 via Paramount Home Entertainment (although both movies were released theatrically by Warner Bros.). Before that, the films will have their first television showings in years on AMC, as the cornerstones of a full weekend of Wayne attractions.

And now the question:

My brother-in-law has been in Iraq since January (you may remember the ‘Iraq in Pictures’ series) and probably won’t be able to come home until next January or February. He has two sons, aged 4 and 7.

I have a Sony Playstation that I haven’t played in so long that I forgot I had it boxed up in the closet. I just unearthed it and want to send it to the boys. The problem is that what with me not having been 4 or 7 years of age in a long time, I have no idea what games are out there that might be interesting to them.

I went on eBay and found a ‘Bob the Builder’ game for it because I know that Nathan (he’s the 7 year old) likes that show, but I have no idea what a 4 year old (that would be Carl) would like.

I want to send this off to them with, like, seven or eight games to keep their minds off their deployed dad, but have little to no clue.

Any suggestions from parents or grandparents would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve got a 3 year old who loves Bob the Builder so I’d expect a 4 year old would like it just fine. If there is a Blues Clues game that may be popular as well.
