The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

The Good: The Carnival of Cordite is up and running at The Revolutionary War Veterans Association Weblog.

After you’re done reading The Carnival make sure you check out the Rifleman links on the left hand margin. If you subscribe to the Shotgun News, you’ll recognize the writings of Fred of Fred’s M-14 Stocks. Don’t be frightened by the venom towards the UN in his writings, just absorb the techniques of becoming a Rifleman and get out there and practice them.

The Bad: The Ithaca Gun Company had folded again, possibly for the last time.

While I own multiple Remington Shotguns, I always loved the Ithaca’s original Model 37 for it’s simplicity and reliability. In what may be one of the most horrible parts of the company folding is that they cannot guarantee that the people who have sent their firearms in for repairs/modifications might not be able to get their firearms back as the company’s creditors now have the keys to the building and its contents.

The Ugly: I’ve got way too much stuff to do this weekend and there will be no range time available.

I’ll make up for it next weekend, I can guarantee you that.
