I am building a surprise for you all. OK, it’s really for me, but I’ll share it here and let anyone who wants to shoot it.
Damn! I gave part of the surprise away.
Anywhooo, I’m still at least a week out, maybe two, from completing it, but over 1/3 of the parts arrived yesterday.
This is gonna rock so hard!
One of the things I received was the new rear sight for the SKS’s that I ordered from Tech Sights.
I’ll be installing it over the weekend and testing it out next week and issuing a range report on it.
It looks promising though.
BTW, do you like my bling GIF up top?
I love the tech-sights SKS sight, it’s a bit of a nuisance to remove when it comes time to clean the rifle, but damn it’s worth a little extra agro!
Re: the auto-bling. Not kewl. Too pimpt-out. In my parallel universe, there is nothing lower than a pimp, and they are hunted down and shot for sport.
I like the 7.62 X 39 Rusky ballistics for a short-range carbine, and the SKS is a tough battlefield weapon.
Comes the revolution though, ammo might be scarce, since these weapons aren’t indigenous. Stick to your 12ga for short range, and 7.62 NATO for long range, or go with pistol caliber carbines.
