Why can’t they do this in my end of the country?

You may have heard of “The Minutemen. No, not those minutemen, the American volunteers along the Mexican American border who patrol for people crossing illegally.

This group of minutemen seems to have pissed someone off,

It looks like there is going to be a second “showdown at the OK Corral” in Tombstone, Ariz., April 1.

A leader of the violent, terror-connected Latin American gang Mara Salvatruchas, Ebner Anivel Rivera-Paz, has reportedly issued orders from federal prison to members of his international criminal organization to teach a lesson to a group of Americans taking border control into their own hands.

The American civilians, known as the “Minutemen,” say they have some 750 volunteers ready to show up in Tombstone to start policing the border and dealing with illegal immigration.

I would probably devote some serious time to doing what they do if I were closer to that border, but the current 1500-plus mile commute makes doing so a bit undoable.

And so far, we don’t have a million Canadians a year crossing the border illegally up here, so there is no such group in existence in my neck of the woods.

But imagine if you were just doing your civic duty and going out and catching criminals. Then, because you were doing such a good job, the leader of a gang of those criminals told you to knock it off or he’ll have you killed.

Dude, he’s fair game!

I wonder when he gets out of prison?
