Forget about activist judges

People in Illinois should be worried about ARMED judges.

After the shooting in an Atlanta courtroom last week, Illinois State Representative Larry Bomke is drafting a bill that will allow judges and magistrates to carry firearms in the courtroom.

So now, instead of just the policing officials being allowed to pack heat in the halls of justice, the guy sentencing people will have a firearm AND YOU STILL WON’T.

Does this sound elitist to anyone else but me?

OK, you can start worrying about those activist judges again.

One Response to Forget about activist judges

  1. Judges have been packing heat forever in courtrooms. Not all want to, but any that want to, can.

To show how a judge is immune to law, look no farther than my County, which tried to enforce a building-wide smoking ban on a judge who smoked in her chambers, and found out just short of Contempt of said Court that they had no jurisdiction. The Senior judge of the Circuit agreed, and wrote an opinion that a judge’s courtroom and chambers are like a foreign country as far as they are concerned.
