My name is George C. Joseph. I am the sole owner of Sunshine Dodge-Isuzu, a family owned and operated business in Melbourne, Florida. My family bought and paid for this automobile franchise 35 years ago in 1974. I am the second generation to manage this business.
We currently employ 50+ people and before the economic slowdown we employed over 70 local people. We are active in the community and the local chamber of commerce. We deal with several dozen local vendors on a day to day basis and many more during a month.  All depend on our business for part of their livelihood. We are financially strong with great respect in the market place and community. We have strong local presence and stability.
I work every day the store is open, nine to ten hours a day. I know most of our customers and all our employees. Sunshine Dodge is my life.
On Thursday, May 14, 2009 I was notified that my Dodge franchise, that we purchased, will be taken away from my family on June 9, 2009 without compensation and given to another dealer at no cost to them. My new vehicle inventory consists of 125 vehicles with a financed balance of 3 million dollars. This inventory becomes impossible to sell with no factory incentives beyond June 9, 2009. Without the Dodge franchise we can no longer sell a new Dodge as “new,” nor will we be able to do any warranty service work. Additionally, my Dodge parts inventory, (approximately $300,000.) is virtually worthless without the ability to perform warranty service. There is no offer from Chrysler to buy back the vehicles or parts inventory.Our facility was recently totally renovated at Chrysler’s insistence, incurring a multi-million dollar debt in the form of a mortgage at Sun Trust Bank.
HOW IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA CAN THIS HAPPEN?
THIS IS A PRIVATE BUSINESS NOT A GOVERNMENT ENTITY
This is beyond imagination! My business is being stolen from me through NO FAULT OF OUR OWN. We did NOTHING wrong.
This atrocity will most likely force my family into bankruptcy. This will also cause our 50+ employees to be unemployed. How will they provide for their families? This is a total economic disaster.
HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN IN A FREE MARKET ECONOMY IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA?

John Aravosis, of the inappropriately named Americablog, thinks the Dems have abandoned Gun Control.
He posts this, and as “facts” to back up his statement he says that he believes that they have done so because liberals don’t “fight back”. He also believes that “gun control groups” sit back when “major gun crises” happen so that they don’t seem to be “taking advantage of the situation”.
Sadly for John, I can’t remember whether it was the Brady’s or VPC (or both) who vultured over the bodies in the immigration center because they both do it so often that it becomes troublesome to keep track.
Also, liberals do fight back. They just keep throwing cards at the oppsition instead of duking it out. Take, for instance, the current Leftosphere BS about how any questioning of Pelosi’s truthfulness being automatically labeled as misogyny.
And if she were black questioning her would be “racist”. If she were gay it’d be “homophobia”.Liberals fight back. However, their style is classified more as “throwing grenades”.
The Dems haven’t given up on Gun Control. They’re just waiting for either an opportune moment of pity or a time that they can label someone something inolerable to push it.

The Bellevue Fire Department says a sunny day and a dog’s water bowl caused the fire that charred the back of a home.
Lt. Eric Keenan says investigators determined the glass bowl of water magnified the rays enough to start the Sunday afternoon fire on the wood deck. There was no wiring or other possible cause.
If the MSM stops editorializing every news story in President Obama’s favor, I think I’m going to start opening up the SHTF supplies and call into work.

Lang Creek Brewery has stopped production.
Down this rutted gravel road, 40 miles from the nearest incorporated town and 20 miles from a post office, loyal patrons of “America’s Most Remote Brewery†are tipping back beers and trying to cope with loss.
They are losing their beloved watering hole.
Owners Gary and Clydene Bultman recently announced that Lang Creek has quit brewing beers and is selling off its remaining inventory, bringing an end to one of the oldest and well-known breweries in the state.
Their Winter Warmer was one of the best seasonals and the Zepplin Imperial was a unique and very tasty brew.
They will be missed.
Where Governor Sarah Palin was actually elected President and makes the same mistakes, gaffes and insults to the American people in her first 100 days in office that President Obama has.
Only, the leftist media is still the leftist media.

Now, maybe I’m misremembering, was something wrong with McClintock other than that he wasn’t Ahnold? And does he stand a chance in the next votefest?
The CSM isn’t the only ones writing about the attendees of the NRA Convention in AZ.
The steadfast believers in gun people control of the Leftosphere also kept an eye on the proceedings.
The National Rifle Association is having its big annual convention in Arizona this week, which means we’ll see the usual parade of fearmongering and liberal-bashing on steroids that these affairs always are — with a special emphasis on President Obama, that scary Muslim left-wing radical who wants to take all our guns away.
It’s all paranoia, all the time. As you can see from clips above, all the raging talk at the convention is about how gun sales are through the roof because everyone’s afraid Obama is going on a gun-grabbing spree.

At least watch the first couple minutes, which is from the CNBC show The Call, essentially repeating what Neiwert posts: That the whole mindset of those attending the convention, if not the whole firearms owning population, can be encapsulated in one word.

Pretty typical is Ted Nugent, who’s blogging the affair from Arizona for Human Events and coming up with some prime bon mots (“Write this down: Gun Free Zones are a felon’s playgrounds. Ban Gun Free Zones now. Join the NRA.”) while drawing a bead on the bottom line: Keep your hands off my guns, you dirty stinking liberals.

That’s the stuff circulating for mainstream-media consumption. But always at these shows, and around them, there’s the gaseous nebula of conspiracism.
Get it? According to Neiwert, who is, for reasons unfathomable by logical thinking people, respected by the Leftosphere on this topic, the “paranoia” of the gun owning public is all in their heads. They have no other reason to be worried about the infringement of their civil rights by the current Administration.
Don’t forget, Neiwert is the guy who thinks it is OK for the co-poster at his personal website to advocate for the confiscation of privately owned hunting rifles whenever The One stops by a city to get his salad metaphorically tossed by the media.
Sorry, can’t find anything I want to blog about today. Just too tired from the weekend, I guess.
