SHOT Show 2011: Action Targets

Here is a reactive target with an adjustment knob for angle or wind.

There is a hole in the base to place a flashlight for night-shoot backlighting.

Absorbs 3000 rounds of 9mm, safe at 0 meters with no metal except in the base, and all for $140 or so. I like it!

SHOT Show 2011: CAA Roni

This one is for the Glock. Utterly awesome and ridiculously easy to smack steel way out there. Almost no recoil and very well-made. I had a blast shooting it.

SHOT Show 2011: Blaser left/right switchbolt

I knew the Blaser R8 was super-modular, but I did not know you could swap from left-hand bolt to right-hand in a second.

SHOT Show 2011: Zeiss “Telescope”

Handheld spotting scope, the DIALYT 18-45×65, totally waterproof because no telescoping parts; new this year in the US and fantastic. Exceptional clarity and can be used with tripod but need not be; I used it offhand and had no issues, as expected from a product originally designed for Alpine hunters. $1299.99 suggested retail.

SHOT Show 2011: Para folding stock rifle

I finally got to shoot one of these. Great concept, but I did not perceive the “zero recoil” effect some touted when it first came out.

Thanks Watermelons

Instead of paying $3.25 per gallon on average, we could be selling our oil in the gulf. Cuba is doing business with the Chinese for these exact same southern deposits.

Likewise, the ecosocialists and their cohorts in the Global Warming Death Cult have blocked us in ANWAR and elsewhere in the north. Russia doesn’t seem to have this problem.

The Arctic is to become the “new battleground”, campaigners warned yesterday after BP announced plans to drill in one of the last great unspoilt wildernesses on earth.

Greenpeace and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) have vowed to confront BP’s American boss, Bob Dudley, over the agreement with the Russian state-owned oil giant Rosneft to explore the Kara Sea, north of Siberia. The British energy firm was branded the world’s “environmental villain number one” by Friends of the Earth (FoE) yesterday in response to its move to exploit potential oil reserves in the remote waters.

We pay more and get less.  Typical of Social Democracies.
