Not even the next best substitute

In the “Education Life” section of last Sunday’s NYT they printed an article titled “If She Can’t Stop Him, YOU CAN. Bystander intervention may be the best hope to reduce sexual assault on campus.”

Minding The Campus’ John Leo writes about how this misguided campaign is actually demeaning to both men and women.

What he doesn’t write about is how, in the interest of “safety”, the government has removed the actual “best hope” and the most effective anti-rape tool from the hands of both women and by-standers. Leaving them open to both an initial attack, as well as retaliation.
