Mayhaps he should partake of them himself

Once again, our President shows everyone how he thinks that what he requires of others should not apply to him.

From his CNN interview on Friday:

CUOMO: … do you believe you know the way to get things done for the American people so that we don’t have another shutdown of the government, which effectively punishes everybody else, except the lawmakers?

OBAMA: There is a very simple way of doing this, which is the Senate passed a budget and the House passed a budget. And, you know, maybe you’re not old enough to remember “Schoolhouse Rock,” but…

CUOMO: Oh, I remember it.

OBAMA: … you remember — you remember how the bill gets passed? You know, the — you know, the House and the Senate try to work out their differences. They pass something. They send it to me, and potentially I sign it.

Really, Mr. President? You’re going to say that Congress should watch some children’s television programming so that they can do their jobs to your satisfaction?

Why don’t you try this yourself.

You should start with “Tyrannosaurus Debt”

And continue with “Fireworks”

Then close with “The Shot Heard Round the World”.

Maybe then you could do your job to our satisfaction. Which is actually more important that Congress doing just about anything.

  1. Paul B says:

And here we were told Reagan was the teflon president.

    Nothing sticks to OBama.

  2. Rolf says:

I used to think he was slick. Now I think he’s an idiotic empty suit, a total puppet, someone so disconnected and economically and historically illiterate that he really does believe his own BS. He’s WAY over his head, but he’s surrounded by “yes-men” and puppeteers, so he’s utterly clueless about a lot of it. He such a narcissist that he craves adulation, but cares not a whit for actual wielding of power or it’s effects. It’s the celebrity he seeks, more than the authority. If it all comes crashing down, and the media turn on him (not likely, but possible), and he is forced to confront his utter ineptitude, he’ll be so pathetic a figure he’ll make Michael Jackson look like a paragon of mental stability and moderation.

That doesn’t make him any less dangerous in both the short and long term though, Rolf. For what it’s worth, I agree with you.

My father has an interesting idea regarding Obama, though. Have you ever seen the movie ‘Trading Places’? He thinks that’s how we got this empty suit; a pack of Dems, with their media buddies, decided they were going to be ‘sensitive’ and put a black man in the White House. Too bad he was underqualified to manage a Little League team, but hey, that’s not important! And besides, he’s Not Bush ™!

And now we’ve come to his Imperialness having developed a taste for ruling (not leading — small difference there), but he’s barely capable of THAT (I mean, I think of history’s myriad autocrats and dictators, and I just KNOW they’re sitting in their corners of the afterlife laughing hysterically at this clumsy oaf). About the only good news is that his incompetence is so glaring that he won’t be able to pull off some kind of deranged coup and anoint himself President for Life; it’d be like Pee Wee Herman trying to dress up as a policeman. So he’ll be swept out shortly.
