   According to a number of gun blogs I read a Grand Jury is being empaneled for this guy. Grand Juries are creatures of the prosecutor. I wonder if the Grand Jury record will be sealed if he gets “no billed” According to the stories and descriptions I have read. He approached this kid, Yes, he has no duty to retreat; but he is not to provoke or instigate either. I just finished the class on FL CHL and have mailed off all the ppwk, so I dragged out the statue copies I had and looked them over. My opinion 2nd degree homicide or voluntary manslaughter. either of which will leave him open to civil action. Justifiable will close the civil action door.

   I heard some of the tapes. To me it sounded like Zimmerman was breaking every rule of self-defense and the instructions of the 911 operator by chasing the kid. I hope the gun community tries to stay objective on this case – when all the facts are out, Zimmerman may be guilty of actual crimes not just bad judgement.

   “Stand your ground” doesn’t apply here. The second he started following Mr. Martin, Mr. Zimmerman voided any recourse to the policy, and it’s now a straw man.
