I (unfortunately) work the graveyard shift about 10 blocks from Occupy Portland, and I’ve already noticed an uptick in the number of aggressive panhandlers & mentally ill (as in random shouting to oneself, and public urination with no attempt to be discreet) when I make the 2-block walk to 7-11 for lunch. This, more than anything, is making me rethink getting my conceal carry permit, even though I can’t technically take weapons into the building at work. Maybe I could stow it in my car, though… it just pisses me off that I’ve NEVER felt unsafe walking 2 blocks in my part of downtown at night, until now.
There’ no reason to “re-think”. Just do it. I’ll even teach you the class when I’m home for Xmas and save you a few bucks, if you haven’t done it by then.
Awesome! Making the Concealed Carry Connection!
