Resources

Summer Quarter began last Monday. I have spent that last week getting up to speed in my two classes, both of which are online. In case you wanted to know, my classes are Political Science 101 and Humanities 100. Both are required and at least one of them looks like it’ll be fun.

The PoliSci course seems to be run by a guy who, from my reading of the course syllabus, would get along quite well here at RNS. Lots of references to personal responsibility and apathy towards bullshit. Also, the text book is excellent. I don’t even feel like I’m reading a “required” book. I’ll tell y’all about it after the quarter is over (seven weeks).

I’m still up in the air over the Humanities professor. He has his moments, but then also goes wandering off to touchy-feely land at times.

One of my current assignments is: Ask two good friends to describe your thinking style and report each of their responses.  Reflect on their responses.

Seeing as how I think you all know me pretty well, especially you old timers, I think I would like you opinions on this. Just a couple paragraphs, in either the comments or via email, sometime in the next days or so. If you see two or more comments in the comments section, feel free to add to it. I’m looking for two good ones I can “reflect” on. I promise not to cherry pick and will possibly even publish the whole kit and kaboodle here.

Fire away.
