It’s a date

Wednesday, March 9th @ 1330, in fact.

That is the date of the public hearing in front of the Washington State Senate Judiciary Committee on SB 5112, the Senate’s version of HB1016, which would allow the use of suppressors on firearms in Washington State. The House has already passed their version, so now it is up to the Senate to run it through their sausage mill.

Barron Barnett has been doing the yeoman’s work in keeping up with these bills and he deserves congratulations for that.

The Democrat controlled state Senate is famous for scheduling and then canceling, and then rescheduling and then canceling again, over and over, hearings on the rights of firearms owners so as to attempt to reduce the turn out. If that happens watch either Barron’s place or here for updates.

So where will the hearing be? Have they assigned a building/room yet? I do not see anything on the leg.wa.gov pages for the bills.
