It’s a good thing I’m building up the Jeep

If these guys are right, Seattle will have the same climate as Anchorage in a couple decades.

Sunspot formation is triggered by a magnetic field, which scientists say is steadily declining. They predict that by 2016 there may be no remaining sunspots, and the sun may stay spotless for several decades. The last time the sunspots disappeared altogether was in the 17th and 18th century, and coincided with a lengthy cool period on the planet known as the Little Ice Age.

You guys in Cali wouldn’t mind getting Seattle’s climate, right?

One problem – while we did have an unusually low level in the recent/current cycle minimum, sunspot activity seems to be picking back up.

Let’s hope it continues picking up, or wintertime in Wisconsin is going to be a study in just how cold it gets before Dave stops moving.

Y’know, Last Centurion is a good book, but I don’t really want to live in it.

I was thinking the exact same thing, Firehand.
