Private Space Flight moves ahead another step

This is just awesome. A group of private Danish citizens have (without any government help, or more importantly, interference) built a manned spacecraft, and are preparing to launch it next week.

What was once an undertaking so complex that it was only made possible with the collective resources of entire nations, has become the domain of hobbyists.

I’d be ashamed that this type of project was not first attempted by a US team, but I can hardly fault any such group given how obstructionist US Law is against this sort of activity.  I mean, the BATFE claims that advanced model rocket engines are regulated explosives (luckily a judge disagreed).  I can’t imagine the regulatory nightmare that exists for handling the higher impulse fuels.
Let’s wish them all good luck!
