    We have some here in Washington State, part of the Mt St Helens National Monument (they greatly predate much more recent ash eruptions).

    Hawaii has quite a few of them. Some quite fresh, others ancient.

    If you want to see a ton of them up close, Craters of the Moon National Monument in south-central Idaho is definitely worth a visit. I have a slew of pictures from there when I visited last summer.
