Frisco PSH

A different type of fear and loathing took place in San Francisco this weekend.

Men and women, with jumper cables tied round their waist, fanned out across San Francisco’s Baker Beach to help pick up trash and to increase awareness of automobile-owners’ rights.

Robert Montgomery, 39, of San Jose, said he joined in the event Saturday to get out the message that “it’s not just the AAA who carry jumper cables.”

Montgomery also wore a miniature video camera and recorded audio on an iPhone in order to have an electronic record of any possible incident.

San Francisco resident Brad Lawrence, 37, also was on the beach with his video camera, and said the sight of the cabled beachgoers shocked him.

“I’m afraid of jumper cables,” he said.

Makes about at much sense as the real article.

  1. Rivrdog says:

It would be interesting to see how those Park Police stops went down: in other words, have those Federal po-po been trained to calmly approach a group of legally-armed folks, or do they assume that they are under attack every time they approach?

  2. Grumpy Old Ham says:

“They (Park Police) stopped the armed group to make sure they were abiding by the law and not carrying loaded weapons.”

    Huh?

If the weapon isn’t loaded, they aren’t really armed, now are they?

I must need a hoplophobe to English translator.
